To break off an unwanted engagement with the Princess, the incredibly wealthy Duke Leopold Otero von Bern plans a perfect infidelity scam. Meanwhile, Violeta Hernandez is a fallen noble who became an "infidelity consultant" after all her past lovers cheated on her with that very same Princess. She barely scrapes by on consultation fees until she is suddenly hit with a massive debt repayment notice and the urgent need to pay for her younger brother's tuition.
"I'll handle the tuition. I'll even take responsibility for your brother's future." "What about my future? If I'm branded a mistress, I can forget about ever getting married."
Violeta only ever dreamed of a modest marriage filled with love. Is becoming his fake mistress really the only way out?
"I won't let you get caught. Just leave behind enough traces to make the Princess completely misunderstand."
Thus begins a national-scale infidelity scam. But the man who promised they would only pretend to have an affair keeps crossing the line.
"Do you think this kind of evidence will be enough?" "You said you were here to earn your keep." "At least show some sincerity, like leaving a hickey."
It seems... she has gotten herself involved with the wrong man.
