Cha Ji-won, director of Hwadam Gallery. With exceptional ability and striking good looks, this seemingly perfect man harbors a secret ability: he can see ghosts and deal with them by painting their portraits. One day, after exorcising a malicious spirit through his art, Ji-won is dragged to the 'Mid-Realm' for sending away the dead without proper procedures. There in the Mid-Realm, the place where the deceased are judged, he meets Gaon, the master of the realm. At first, it was mere competitive spirit. He thought it was just curiosity about a transcendental being who wouldn't even deign to look at him. It was a feeling a bit too complex to call sheer fighting spirit, but he had no other way to explain it. Yes, it started that way... but why does she look so pretty to me now? Gaon, who has spent her entire life judging the dead on a millennial mission, with only 30 years left. Into her life—where she hasn't even tasted a simple Americano—Cha Ji-won, the only man who treats her with warmth, begins to seep in. Together, the two judge and save the dead. Can they save each other?
