The Nation's Finest Trash
"And the other girl he got to know drinking with Yeonyeong? I heard he choked her until it was right up at her throat. Apparently he loves it when they sob and beg."
"He's completely insane. How many people around you has he even slept with?"
"They say there wasn't a woman he didn't touch before he went into the army. Add up just the girls that sunbae has slept with and you could found a whole new department. Even enlisting was him running off after he messed with a female professor and the whole thing blew up."
"Wow…… He really is trash."
Jian listened to the two of them and gave a small, quiet nod. If living hard was the measure, he had lived hard — trash, officially recognized. Looks and track record alike, she would also recognize him as Hankuk University's representative specimen. Honestly, at that level, representing the whole country didn't seem out of reach.
She deliberately brushed past the seat where he sat, taking the chance to study him more closely. Up close, skin so fair it didn't show a single pore or blemish only made him look more refined. The natural crease at the corners of his eyes and that soft smile were beautiful enough that she truly couldn't look away.
But why did he feel so familiar, as if she'd seen him somewhere before? A face like that — see it once, and there was no way she wouldn't remember.
Just my imagination.
Jian tilted her head, puzzling over it, then let her gaze drop. There was another reason she had wanted a closer look.
"……Wow."
It was real.
She had wondered whether the desk would hide it, but it was so thick that the bulge rising over his right thigh landed squarely in her line of sight. The size fit her personal motto with startling precision: a man speaks with his lower half, not his face.
Stamina enough to sleep with that many women, and he was big on top of it?
And everyone knew that sex was better when it came with a certain sadistic, perverted edge. Think about it — wasn't "so good they cry and beg" basically a glowing review?
With women overflowing like that, there wouldn't be any messy aftermath either. No need to date. Just clean, uncomplicated sex.
Trash. And that's a point in his favor?
God. I want to sleep with that trash. I want to be one of the women belonging to the nation's representative piece of garbage.
And so Jian looked at Dou and all but smacked her lips.
Jian's first relationship had been when she was twenty. Because she hadn't been interested in men? Hardly.
The reason was obvious, and simple. Crushing poverty. Life alone with a father who had inherited nothing but the inability to get ahead was harder than she had ever expected.
She loved him — he was endlessly gentle and warm — but the brutal day labor sent him looking for a drink at least three times a week. Every time, he blamed his parents, blamed the world, blamed the mother who had left too soon, and poured half of whatever he'd earned into alcohol. Watching him, Jian made up her mind.
She would succeed. No matter what, she would change the way her father thought.
For someone with nothing, the path to success was plain: split apart every hour she had and every hour she didn't, and throw all of it into studying. That was how Jian achieved her first goal.
She forced her way into the business department at Hankuk University, the hardest school in the country to enter — and she did it on a full scholarship for outstanding incoming freshmen.
Only then did she finally catch her breath. And right around then, a man who had taken a liking to her pursued her so stubbornly that she decided to try this thing called dating.
Dating was fun. Or, to be honest, the sex that came with the dating was incredibly fun.
To think my body had sensations like these!
But that didn't last. A handful of relationships that never went the distance only gnawed away at her time and her feelings — badly enough that she nearly lost the full scholarship.
After that, Jian decided. She would never date again.
She threw herself back into nothing but studying and part-time work, and the quiet days slipped past until, somehow, she was a senior. Her job was already lined up, and once she stopped the studying she had been buried in, she found there was something she missed.
The rough, animal clash of two bodies. The sharp, electric sensations you could feel only in that act. When the longing for sex hit, she tried pleasing herself with her own hands, but it didn't compare to the high sex gave her.
She missed sex fiercely.
She didn't want to spend time and money on another tiresome relationship just to get it. Going to a club and sleeping with a stranger, though, was too frightening.
Where did people even find fuck buddies? She didn't have a friend she could ask.
While she groaned over it for days, Gam Dou — the one saddled with the nickname Trash — was like a rope dropped to someone drowning. Same university, so his identity was solid. Trash, so no worry about anything clingy or pathetic. A partner with whom nothing but sex was possible. So perfect.
Hallelujah!
There was a problem, though. How was she supposed to get close enough to suggest they have sex?
Popular with women and even with men, he never had a moment without people around him, so simply approaching was already difficult.
So she had gone with the cliché: show up at a drinking party, pretend to be drunk, and lean on him. Then, unexpectedly, a classmate proposed a bet with her as the stake, and she no longer had to.
"They really did agree to the bet, right? Is he about to come up to me now?"
The next day Jian stepped onto campus with her heart hammering.
A careful week of watching after the semester began had shown her that she and Dou shared quite a few major classes. Enough that they had at least one together every day. And today, the morning lecture was one of them.
Jian slowly opened the back door and let her eyes roam.
Ah. There he is.
Unlike her, always planted in the very front, he favored the back row. The seats around him were already packed with other students, so Jian had no choice but to head forward.
Ha. I'm nervous.
So aware of him behind her that she had no idea how the class was passing. Fifty minutes slipped by, and then the break arrived.
"Jian."
Amazingly, Dou came up beside her. They had never even properly introduced themselves, and yet he called her name with perfect gentleness.
As expected of the man who represents Hankuk University — something about him really is different. Natural. Too natural.
"……Yes!"
She was so startled that she shot to her feet like a soldier and answered in a huge voice, and Dou broke into a bright laugh.
"Sorry for springing that on you. Do you know my name?"
"Yes, I do. Sunbae Gam Dou."
"Sunbae, what sunbae. We're the same year. Just call me oppa."
"Yes, oppa."
Jian's heart was pounding wildly. This had to be it, didn't it? There was only one reason he would come up to her out of nowhere like this.
She forced the soaring mood back down and did her best not to let him catch how wide her nostrils were flaring.
Oh no. I think I'm on the menu today.
"If you're free after class today, want to come with me and……"
"I'd love to."
"Huh?"
"Yes. I'd love to. After class."
She answered again, bright smile still in place, and Dou looked briefly flustered before offering an awkward laugh.
"Then I'll see you when it's over."
"Yes, oppa."
Good thing she had bothered with her underwear today. Watching Dou — quick to decide, quicker to act — she thought that experience really was nothing to scoff at.
"Have you thought of anything?"
"……Um. No."
Jian stared, blank-eyed and expressionless, at the laptop he was pointing to.
Why am I sitting in an empty lecture hall instead of a motel? Her face full of hollowness, she answered without any strength at all.
"Are human beings rational creatures, or creatures of desire?"
A jolt.
Jian, whose head contained nothing but the desire for sex, flinched at his sudden words.
