Was She Throwing That Away?
The muscles in Choi Hyun-seo’s relaxed body suddenly twitched as he tensed up. The firm muscles felt like the temperature of the bathroom had dropped sharply. Tae-yeon sensed an inexplicable chill. Hyun-seo’s eyes had turned as dark as ink.
“Jealous? Could there even be such a thing between us?”
He was right. What jealousy could there be in an employer-employee relationship? But his attitude and words were nothing like what he had said. Tae-yeon didn’t back down. She pressed herself close and looked up at him, asking with a note of challenge.
“It feels exactly like jealousy. Why are you acting this way if you like me?”
His face grew cold. His sharp eyes, giving a scolding look like a cheeky subordinate, quietly fixed on her.
His body dropped away. As his body that had been heated until now cooled, the cool water touched her skin and her cells tightened up. A moment ago it had felt lukewarm, but now it was cold and her body trembled.
She had asked honestly because she wanted to know. More than anything else, his heart mattered to her. Of course, in an employer-employee relationship, such things like feelings weren’t that important.
The employee’s attitude was to handle the given situation well. She had been doing so until now. Externally, she had buried herself in her role as Hyun-seo’s wife and the mother raising Yun-woo with all her heart. But this sex had nothing to do with the contract. It wasn’t even in the contract.
So even if their bodies had responded and they had met, there had been attraction. She didn’t want to do it with someone she particularly disliked.
So maybe there had been a bit of liking? Even while thinking it was ridiculous, she had wanted to confirm. The man who was acting this jealous, sharpening his claws and trying to drive away other males, tying them up and monopolizing them, that was proof of the emotion of liking and possessiveness inside.
“Listen well, Manager Min Tae-yeon. The word ‘jealousy’ doesn’t apply. I only have a possessive instinct. You know how possessive I am about everything I do at work, don’t you? I heard you’re very well-regarded in the company too.”
He seemed to know his own reputation well. Once he decided on something, he saw it through to the end and never allowed another hand to interfere or another company to meddle. That’s why, despite his young age, he had achieved so many results.
He had definitely taken responsibility for the people he used. That’s why the Choi Hyun-seo line gave him so many benefits.
But was this sex the same thing too? Could anyone else besides me come in here?
The sudden chill in her body was the same for Tae-yeon. Her heart that had been burning fiercely toward him had turned cool like she had been hit by a sudden downpour. The spark had disappeared and only charred embers remained, and wind blew on them. He was still naked, but the feeling was different from before.
“If you keep saying things you don’t know your place, without considering whether to speak or not, then there’s a problem. If you don’t like it, let’s stop the sex. I don’t have a hobby of picking up women I dislike, and women who add conditions and ask unnecessary questions are exactly my type. It’s clearly stated in the contract, isn’t it?”
Tae-yeon sat up straight and nodded.
“Yes, I remember.”
“Then behave yourself.”
“I think I didn’t do anything wrong in terms of work. I only think that what happens here in this space is separate from work. If it has nothing to do with Yun-woo’s childcare or external couple relations, then that’s it.”
Tae-yeon spoke without backing down. She had no desire to cling to sex with him. Suddenly being naked felt embarrassing. Tae-yeon immediately put on the robe hanging in the bathroom and tied it tightly with the belt.
To Hyun-seo’s eyes, it felt like a warning not to touch it. What was a mere robe?
Hyun-seo, still without a single thread on, followed her out of the bathroom.
“Ah!”
Hyun-seo followed her and suddenly pulled the shower robe off. Tae-yeon’s robe was instantly stripped away and she was naked again. Facing each other again naked, Tae-yeon took a sharp breath and went straight to the bed, pulling the blanket up to her neck.
“Please leave.”
“What?”
Hyun-seo thought he had misheard. Leave? From my own house. From my bedroom!
But Tae-yeon threw the pillow at him. The pillow, ridiculously large compared to her thin arms, floated weakly in the air and fell short of the bed, but the effect of being thrown was enough.
“Please leave. No matter what the contract says, private space is absolutely necessary. I understand that this bedroom is tacitly my private space. If there’s no private space at all, please make one or change the contract clause.”
Tae-yeon demanded boldly. After all, this was a contract. A contract allowed either party to reflect what they wanted. It was basic social etiquette that one had to claim one’s own rights.
In this state, she couldn’t stay in the same room as Choi Hyun-seo.
