The Wicked Man's Instinctive Hunger
The kiss lingered on a rainy street, yet her body reacted with the speed of long-bred instinct. His scorching desire swelled the instant their lips met. Even with coats on, every tremor of his excitement brushed against her. Her own chest tightened, her lower belly heated, and a flutter rippled between her thighs.
He pressed closer, sliding his hard thigh between hers. The sudden pressure made her legs part wider, shielding her body completely.
“Haa… Director, not Hyun-seo.”
The woman who forced herself to call him that proper title by its book had no idea how adorable the struggle looked on her face. What a problem. An adorable employee—charming, obedient, yet once in a while she sulked and scolded her superior without hesitation.
Min Tae-yeon kept digging into every possible meaning. Was she too high-strung? Still, he found himself wanting to tease her more. Giving her more would feel worth it. Definitely an employee worth investing in.
“Why? Ms. Director?”
A playful lilt in his voice when he called her “Ms. Director” made Tae-yeon gasp.
Did the title “Ms. Director” sound so erotic even out here?
The honorific she had only heard whispered on a bed now shook her body on a Seoul sidewalk. He yanked her waist forward and bore down harder with his thigh.
She grew slick. If they stayed like this any longer, what obscene act would they commit on the street?
Tae-yeon leaned back, trying to escape. Her waist was trapped; with her upper body pulled away she felt one hand from Hyun-seo could send her tumbling backward.
“You could let go.”
“No way.”
“Then how about simply giving in again?”
He spoke the order to surrender like a threat, refusing to let her run.
How far would they go in this neighborhood?
“I don’t want to. Let go.”
“Really?”
When Hyun-seo released her, she tumbled straight back. The pavement rushed up; she braced with both hands.
Startled, she glared at him with pure resentment.
“You’re too much.”
“I did exactly what you asked. Unfair, isn’t it?”
“Damn it. Take me home. Or… to the office.”
She couldn’t say “our house” boldly. When they were alone, the contract still hit too hard. The house they had shared with Yun-woo for seven months was only a workplace residence. Choi Hyun-seo remained her high-ranking superior.
Still holding her hand, he turned toward the Choi family home.
“Fine. Let’s go, Manager Min.”
“Ugh. Director this, Director that. Do what you want.”
Annoyed, Tae-yeon muttered under her breath. Hyun-seo only nodded, a small smile tugging his lips.
“That’s right. It’s all up to you. You were always like that. Sulking? Then outshine them.”
She puffed her cheeks in irritation and grumbled, voice too soft to hear.
Snowflakes thickened as they walked. The return journey through the sudden downpour felt endless, though she had not thought they had walked far.
“We walked that much?”
“Exactly. So did the way back.”
“What now? We’ll be soaked.”
Hyun-seo shrugged off his heavy camel-cashmere coat and spread it wide with both hands.
“What are you doing?”
“I don’t want snow on my head. Hurry.”
He held the coat above them like an umbrella. The oversized garment covered both their heads perfectly.
Inside the warm, safe cocoon of his coat, Tae-yeon’s eyes met his.
Those dark, bottomless eyes held an unreadable ocean of thoughts.
They were acting like lovers now, weren’t they? Was he in costume as a couple?
Her heart brimmed with questions she could never voice.
“Oh, this is cashmere. It’s really expensive.”
“Better than getting snow on my head?”
Walking home beneath one coat felt like being in love. Tae-yeon wished the path would never end.
When they reached the Choi residence, Yun-woo was already fast asleep. Tae-yeon watched the nanny kiss the child’s forehead and whisper,
“My, what a sweet little one. Even asleep he doesn’t whine—just drops off. We can leave him here. Or should I take him?”
“Early morning, we have to give him milk. I’ll take him with me, Nanny.”
“Alright. Don’t wake him just to say goodbye and cry. Do it my way.”
“Wow. Even in sleep his face is so handsome.”
Choi Hyun-seo’s smile reached his eyes. Icheon-daek had already prepared Yun-woo’s things. Hyun-seo and Tae-yeon rode in one car; she carried the boy in the back. On the way home the snow fell even softer.
“First snow of the season.”
“This is what counts as first snow. If it just flurries once, it’s not really first snow, is it?”
The car soon stalled in traffic. Inside the crawling vehicle Tae-yeon’s mind kept drifting to the paternity test.
Even as worry and fear twisted inside her, she remembered Hyun-seo’s calm command—don’t think, just stay.
Once he decided something, he pushed until it was resolved.
* * *
A day had passed since the visit to the Choi residence. Hyun-seo had told her not to worry, but her nerves frayed anyway. She half-expected his mother to storm in and slap her for “what kind of woman” she was, or for the CEO to issue a ban. Worst of all, perhaps the police would come and arrest her for fraud.
Choi Hyun-seo never said a word. Tae-yeon’s stomach burned with anxiety. A full week passed with no news.
Had he decided not to run the test? What on earth had happened?
Unable to bear it any longer, Tae-yeon headed to his office. She knew his late-night schedule; she knocked once and slipped inside without waiting.
“Busy?”
Hyun-seo looked up from the monitor. “Something to say?”
“Come here.”
At his gesture she stepped closer. A tall floor lamp bathed the study in soft light. He sat in his spinning chair and crooked a finger.
“Over here.”
Tae-yeon turned, and he pulled her straight onto his lap. She gasped.
“What do you want?”
His arms circled her from behind. Her breathing quickened; his hand rose to cup her breast. Hot, ragged breaths brushed her ear. The soft flesh in his palm trembled.
“Speak.”
His voice dropped into a low, sensual whisper.
“What happened? Why no word for a week?”
“About what?”
“The CEO in Cheongdam-dong. The paternity test.”
“Oh. That. I gave you results you’ll be satisfied with.”
“How?”
“I had the Choi bloodline confirmed and showed you the proof.”
“Me? You told the whole family to do the test.”
“Well, of course you’d suspect nothing. So you worried alone, then came to seduce your superior dressed like this?”
She wore only a nightgown and cardigan; beneath it she wore nothing but panties. She had come on purpose, hoping for answers. She never imagined she would end up perched on his lap like this.
Hyun-seo’s hand slid under the nightgown, stroking her thigh. The smooth glide made his heart race. His palm moved upward, past her flat belly, teasing the rigid tip until she whimpered.
“Can’t help it. Keeping seducing your boss is a problem.”
“It’s not like that. Ah—”
His fingers slipped fully inside. He pressed exactly where she was most sensitive. A broken moan escaped her lips.
“Here? We’ve never done this at work before.”
“Wha— No. I won’t. I won’t.”
“You will. You have to. Ms. Director. I even solved your problem.”
He looked down at her, lips curving into a wicked, dangerously beautiful smile.
