In a fantasy world inspired by a fictional empire, former soldier and current bounty hunter Tropin Visher encounters Vannier, an original chimera created as the empire’s ultimate living weapon. After the empire’s collapse, Vannier becomes entangled in conspiracies, falsely accused of serial murder, and ends up crossing paths with Tropin in a detention cell. Though terrifyingly powerful, he claims he was never designed for killing—but for pleasure instead. Needing money, Tropin agrees to protect him temporarily, leading the two into a chaotic mix of action, danger, obsession, and intense romance.
