Smoke on His Tongue
Do Ha-jin let out a long sigh and left the room reluctantly. When I finished getting ready and stepped into the living room, no one was in sight—everyone must have already gone into the dining room.
Without much thought I cast a glance inward and locked eyes with a guest just then settling into a chair. Age, presence—nothing about him suggested a subordinate of my uncle’s. Someone from another company? It had nothing to do with me either way, so I paid it no mind. I dipped my head in a brief greeting and walked out through the front door.
Riding the elevator down, my lips kept going dry. He’d do it again, wouldn’t he? It was never going to end with just once. We had plenty of time today; he wouldn’t stop halfway. Even a short while had been electric—I stepped outside imagining how it would feel if we took our time.
My car was nowhere in the immediate vicinity. I reached for my phone to call, then realized I didn’t even have Cha Seon-tae’s number. I didn’t have anywhere else to go besides tutoring for now, but I should get it from him later just in case.
Something told me he would be nearby, so I hugged my books and circled the area. Sure enough, my car was parked in the outdoor lot behind Building 10. I quickened my pace, then stopped short when I spotted Cha Seon-tae’s back.
He was sitting on a bench a short distance from the car; thin trails of smoke curling around him told me he was smoking.
I already knew he was a smoker, but I’d never actually seen him do it, so the sight felt oddly new. I watched him for a moment before starting forward. He must have sensed me—his head snapped back, and our eyes met upside-down.
“Oh? It’s our house princess.”
“…Since when is it your house.”
“Why’d you come out already?”
“There were guests at Oppa’s place. We decided to do it another time.”
“So you’re free now?”
“Yeah.”
He twisted his shoulders around to face me properly. Arms draped over the backrest, flicking ash into the air—he looked exactly like some neighborhood thug.
“What should we do with all this free time.”
The deliberate way he licked his lips only made it worse. I shot him a look that wasn’t quite a glare and turned away.
“Just unlock the car. Are we staying here?”
“Yes, ma’am.”
Aware of him trailing lazily behind me, I started walking first. His long, deliberate strides made me feel oddly pursued, so I hurried toward the car; the locks clicked open remotely.
I hesitated for a second. Normally the back seat would have been the obvious choice, but my eyes had already drifted to the passenger side.
I rolled my lower lip between my teeth, then opened the passenger door and climbed in. Seconds later Cha Seon-tae slid into the driver’s seat. He’d already ditched the cigarette somewhere—his hands were empty—and after a glance at them I turned back to the window.
I was fidgeting with the corner of my book and scanning the outside when a sharp, acrid smell washed over me. I flinched and turned, only to find his face inches from mine. He had leaned his entire upper body toward me.
“Why… what.”
“If I just take off like this, I’m gonna get scolded, you know.”
A long sliding sound made me look down—the seat belt was in his hand. Embarrassment flooded me; I chewed the soft flesh inside my mouth. He twisted his lips in a silent smirk and let the belt go. The click as it reeled in made my shoulders jump.
“Want me to put it on for you?”
“…….”
The way he acted so leisurely when we were both clearly thinking the same thing was infuriating. After a brief pause I grabbed him by the collar. The way he had suddenly barged into my room and kissed me—I did the same, crushing my mouth against his as he was yanked forward and shoving my tongue inside.
“Ha.”
A breathless laugh seeped into my mouth.
He’d just been smoking, so today he tasted bitter and smoky. My father never smoked, so I never smelled it at home; I didn’t know anyone outside who did either. Everything about it was unfamiliar and bad for you, yet strangely it didn’t feel unpleasant.
I sat up straight and pressed our lips as tightly as I could, tongues meeting. The moment I registered that soft, yielding texture, a shiver ran through me. I tightened my grip on his collar and tilted my head.
He seemed content to let me do whatever I wanted—he simply kept his mouth open and stayed still. Perfect. I wanted to really feel it this time, so I rolled my tongue more thoroughly.
The inside of his lips was soft; the roof of his mouth felt slightly rough. I prodded and scraped at the broad surface of his tongue.
When my own tongue started to ache I pulled it back and instead mouthed at his plush lower lip. I crushed it softly, rubbed it side to side and up and down, flicked it a few times with my tongue—enjoying my private little game to the fullest. When I finally drew away, his lips were glossy with spit.
The bright-red, wet flesh looked so lewd I couldn’t look away. Then his head dipped a little lower and our eyes tangled again.
“It’s kind of…”
He spoke slowly.
“The same feeling as when you used to peep at me.”
“…….”
“Back then it was with your eyes. Now…”
He dragged his tongue across his own lips. I more or less understood what he meant. Even I had to admit that what I’d just done was closer to exploration than a kiss.
I hadn’t planned it that way, but maybe I just needed time to adjust to something so unfamiliar. Whether I was peeping or doing this.
“You done casing the joint?”
“…Pretty much, yeah.”
“Is that so. But I’m not, am I?”
“…….”
“Nibbling around the entrance like that—way too mean.”
My body was suddenly lifted clean off the seat. Before I could even process the shock I had been hauled over onto the driver’s side and settled astride Cha Seon-tae’s thighs.
I’d already known he was strong—I’d seen him hoist boxes and ladders like they weighed nothing. But I hadn’t expected my own body to be moved so easily. Still dazed, I looked down at him just as he pressed the back of my head and kissed me. His broad tongue flooded my mouth in an instant.
“Mmnh…”
Exploring on my own hadn’t been bad, but if I had to choose, being licked without mercy felt far more thrilling. Every time he rampaged through my mouth without giving me a chance to react, something inside me prickled and ached until it was hard to bear.
I twisted my waist this way and that, making soft sounds of distress, then suddenly registered the hard pressure beneath me and jerked upright. But the arm coiled around my waist forced me back down harder, and something thick and long crushed against my crotch.
Our sexes were pressed together.
“Hhh…”
The instant that lewd fact sank in, heat bloomed heavy and low in my belly; my breath grew short and I felt myself growing slick and sticky below. The rush of arousal made the videos I’d watched pale in comparison. My body went rigid, and he pressed me down however he liked.
“Hhk.”
The sensation of my sex being crushed was stranger and more stimulating than the kiss. Guided by his strength I kept pushing my body down, grinding, when he suddenly bit my lip.
“Let me ask you something.”
“Hahh… right now…?”
“Back then, when you watched that video and went into heat—”
He bit along my jaw and cheek as well.
“How’d you take care of it?”
“I just… took a shower…”
He clicked his tongue as if disappointed and tipped his head back against the seat.
“No wonder you were taking forever.”
I looked at him in confusion; he jerked his chin toward me—more precisely, downward. Toward the secret place where we were locked together.
I was sitting on the end of the thick column bulging against his left thigh. The hem of my shorts had ridden up, leaving my thighs bare. Even fully clothed, the sight was obscene.
“What are you gonna do, knowing jack shit about the world like that.”
Cha Seon-tae caught my chin and lightly dragged his thumb across my lips.
“You’ve never masturbated, have you?”
“What… why would you even ask that?”
“Thinking I might let you taste something really good.”
“What…?”
His thumb began to push between my lips. The hard, pillar-like finger forced its way past my teeth and pressed down on my tongue—a sensation completely different from a kiss.
“That earlier thing was the price for shutting Jeong Hui-yeon’s sticky fingers up.”
Every time he rubbed my tongue, wet sounds filled my mouth as saliva gathered. So even a sound could be this filthy. My ears burned.
“I figure I ought to set a new condition this time.”
“Hnn…”
“I’m doing this to make you feel good, so it’s only fair I get to name the terms, right?”
If you really thought about it, the kiss had started because he was the one getting off, yet he was shameless enough to act like this. In the end I was satisfied too, so I didn’t argue—but my eyes narrowed slightly. He mirrored me, lids half-lidded, and tapped my cheek.
“Drooling. Swallow.”
I gulped without thinking. The saliva pooled under my tongue went down, clamping my mouth tight around his finger so that I was sucking it. He huffed a laugh and tapped my cheek again.
“I just got kicked out of the place I was living.”
“Huh?”
“So I’ve got nowhere to go.”
I was still puzzled by the sudden personal story when his finger slowly withdrew. My gaze was briefly stolen by the thumb glistening with my spit.
“I’ve been in Jeong Hui-yeon’s room a few times—looks pretty livable. Let me use that room.”
My eyebrows shot up.
“Not forever. Just until I find the next place. In exchange I’ll do something nice for you.”
“What… you’re asking me to hand her room over to you right now?”
“I trust a princess has that much power.”
I shoved away the hand that was leisurely smearing spit across my lips.
“Don’t say ridiculous things.”
“Why not?”
“If you take that room, what’s Unnie supposed to do?”
“…….”
I didn’t know much about Hui-yeon, but I did know she worked as a live-in housekeeper because she had nowhere else to go. Ever since Cha Seon-tae appeared a strange current had run between her and me, but blood is thicker than water—I shook my head without hesitation.
“I feel bad for your situation, but you can’t just kick someone out who’s already there. Look for another pla—”
“You still don’t know, huh.”
He cut me off cold.
“Jeong Hui-yeon’s quitting, I heard.”
“What?”
I froze and stared at him in shock. He wiped his finger on his clothes and shrugged.
“She’ll probably be out of that house by the end of the month.”
“…For real? You’re sure?”
“Yeah. Heard it earlier.”
“Why all of a sudden?”
“How should I know. Go ask her yourself.”
Cha Seon-tae lifted my still-dazed body again and dumped me back into the passenger seat. The engine started the moment I landed on the cushion.
“One room’s free—you can spare that much charity, can’t you.”
I watched him turn the wheel in that unhurried way of his, then finally pulled the seat belt across myself. My body was still heated and unsettled, but the unexpected news had killed any urge to keep fighting it out.
Hui-yeon was quitting her job.
